How The Superheroes Series Fantasy Adventure Story Began?

Wednesday, January 31, 2018
‘Sup? In my last post, I talked about being excited about writing a story series and how I look forward to completing it though it might take some time.

Now, let’s talk about how this fantasy adventure story began. You know what's really surprising is how this story evolved into this series that I really want to continue writing and working on. Wait, did I say that already?

The Adventures of The World’s Superheroes series first started out as just something random that I wrote, some mini-story that was only supposed to be one post or article and that’s it. It was like with some of my other story articles. They were one-shots and didn’t really have any continuations. Moreover, this particular story started out as a dialogue-only post with no actions or descriptions. It consisted of 2 people talking back and forth and they weren’t even named.

The whole dialogue-only story was something I’d been trying and experimenting with just like how I’d tried a no-dialogue story, among other things.

Anyway, after that though, I just kept getting ideas for this particular dialogue-only story, so the superheroes story evolved into something more than just a one-shot. Many of the posts or articles that make up the parts of this story still consisted of the dialogue-only format though.

But, soon, I started adding a few descriptions and actions here and there. I guess I'm taking this opportunity to experiment a bit more on styles of writing, different tones of voice and angles, etc (eh, I’ve been doing that in a lot of my articles lately) while also fleshing out the characters some more. There are some more nuances in said story, some things in there that you have to wonder if others will notice or get or realize or see.

Here are some of the comments from this article, back when it used to be posted elsewhere:

It is also worthwhile to give a copy to others to see if they can add anything interesting.

Not always. Sometimes, others simply screw things up for not sharing the artists' vision.

If one is writing something that will be co-authored by a lot of other people, then it would be right to let those involved make their contributions and add whatever they want to the plot or add whatever they think will be interesting. But if you're just the sole author of the story or article, then you don't need to let others have free reign over your article since you decide what to write and how the story goes.

This sounds like it could be some fun. Thank you for entering the contest.

Thanks and you're welcome 😃. As aforementioned, I am looking forward to writing some more.
