Readers, Do You Like Being Ignored By Writers Or Authors?

Tuesday, February 27, 2018
Who wants to be ignored? As a reader, do you like it when writers or authors ignore you? Do you like feeling like you don’t matter and they don’t care about you at all? What exactly does that mean? What am I talking about?

Some readers take the time and effort to comment on articles they read

You know when you read an article or post or whatever you want to call it, and there’s a comments section at the end? You take the time to read the article and then decide that you liked it enough to leave a comment. Or maybe you have a question and you think the author of the piece sounds like an expert or that they know what they’re talking about, so you decide to ask and see if they can help you.

The least writers and authors can do is reply to their readers and visitors

As a reader, don’t you hate it when writers or authors don’t bother to reply to the questions and comments that you took the time and effort to leave on their articles?

What should happen after you comment? What do you expect or what do you think will happen? Do you want to get a response to your comment? Or will it not matter to you in the least if the writer doesn’t reply to your comment? This is where the being ignored part comes in.

There are many writers or authors who don’t bother to respond to the comments left by their readers. All the comments just accumulate or pile up in their articles and they don’t seem to care; they won’t respond. If they won’t bother to reply, then why would they leave the comments section open in their articles?

Don’t ignore those who bother to comment on your posts

For me, as a reader, I hate feeling or being ignored. If you take the time and effort to comment on someone else’s article, don’t you want that person to at least take the time to acknowledge your words? If you asked a question, don’t you want an answer? This is why I always respond to all the comments that I get on my articles.

Of course, I understand that the replies can’t always happen right away. I also take the time to reply to comments depending on the circumstances. For example, I might have missed the email that I have new comments on my articles or I might be busy with other tasks, etc.

Also, I can’t always check, but when I see that I have a comment on any one of my articles, I respond; I’ll always reply even if it might take some time. If someone doesn’t bother to respond to comments, it makes me want to avoid their articles or at least not bother to comment anymore. I mean, why should I bother to say anything if no one is going to respond anyway? What do you think?

Quote Archives Tumblr Blog About Page And Sidebar Description

Saturday, February 17, 2018
I used to have a blog on Tumblr called Quote Archives. But I deleted it. I talk more about that on this post here. The text below used to be on said blog. I didn't want to just delete it and lose the info, so I decided to keep it here.

Blog description on sidebar

Welcome to Quote Archives where you'll find all sorts of awesome and/or inspiring quotes and song lyrics from all sorts of different topics and subjects like anime. For more information, check out the About page below. - Freya Yuki

About Page

Hello and welcome to Quote Archives. This blog is all about quotes and more quotes. Oh, and song lyrics too. The quotes and lyrics are from all sorts of different topics, subjects, fandoms and series from anime to movies, books and more. They can be inspirational, motivational, encouraging, amusing, funny, etc.

Quote Archives aims to share loads of ‘super special awesome’ quotes, but, aside from that, it also aims to provide descriptions, commentaries and explanations to these wonderful sayings and phrases.

Aside from this blog, I also currently have 3 more blogs on Tumblr. I have a blog about the Hetalia Axis Powers anime and manga series by Hidekaz Himaruya here: https://hetalia-archives.tumblr.com/. Come join me there if you’re also fangirling this series.

I also have a blog about the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling here: https://potter-plotholes.tumblr.com/. If you love the HP series too, you can come join me there. My main Tumblr blog is Freya Yuki (https://freyayuki.tumblr.com/), so this is what I’ll be using to follow the blogs of other Tumblr members.

Aside from watching anime and reading manga, I also love writing. I’ve written several articles on the following sites: Daily Two Cents, Writedge, HubPages, Persona Paper, and Bubblews. I write about all sorts of topics and subjects including movies, books, technology, world news, and more. I have a blog on WordPress.com where I write about WordPress and many other topics. I also have a blog on Google Blogger (this one) where I write stories, philosophical musings, and more.

To add: Wow, this does bring back memories. LOL. This was back when Bubblews was still around. It's gone now. This was also back when I used to write for Daily Two Cents and Writedge. They've changed their payment model though and the traffic there has gotten quite low, so I moved all my articles from those sites and published them elsewhere. Persona Paper is still around, but it has stopped paying, so, little-by-little, I've begun to remove my articles from there.

Here’s a list of my other blogs and the others sites where I write and post articles:

To add: Niume is gone, just like Bubblews.

I also make premium themes for the Tumblr blogging platform. These themes are all highly customizable with lots of awesome features. Check out the list here.

For a more detailed, interesting and entertaining overview of everything mentioned above, you can go here and here.

I also have accounts on Elance and Fiverr and I’d be very happy to work for you, so feel free to hire me or contact me for details. You can also follow me on Flipboard, Twitter, and Pinterest.

If you have any questions, comments, concerns, etc, then please feel free to contact or message me anytime.

Freya Yuki's Introduction Post For Persona Paper

Wednesday, February 07, 2018
Hey there. What’s up? You can just call me Freya Yuki. I’m a freelance writer, and I write for a number of other sites. Under this name, I write for Bubblews, Writedge and Daily Two Cents. And Persona Paper, of course, but you knew that already since this article is for this website.

Edited to add: Bubblews has shut down. Writedge and Daily Two Cents have changed their payment model from a pay per thousand views to a revenue-sharing (Google AdSense rev-share) one and the traffic has gotten low on both sites, so I no longer write for either of them. Persona Paper has stopped paying.

I love writing (yeah, I know that’s kinda obvious already, what with me being here and all and having written for a lot of sites, but thought I’d mention it anyway). I like writing about all sorts of different topics and subjects, which include the Harry Potter series, anime, movies and more.

Aside from writing, my other hobbies include reading books (for example, the Harry Potter series, but I like reading manga too), watching movies (how ‘bout I mention The Wedding Singer film as an example though I wouldn’t say it’s a particular favorite or anything; it’s just that I recently watched it and have been writing a number of articles about it, so that’s one of the first movies that come to mind?) and anime shows (there are a lot of really great and interesting anime series, so it’d be hard to point out a particular example. How ‘bout let’s just go with Card Captor Sakura since it’s a very interesting series, and I do like magic and fantasy as evidenced by how I’ve been writing some creative writing stories about superheroes?) and listening to music (including Japanese anime songs, of course. A lot of them sound wonderful and many have awesome and meaningful lyrics).

Now, about my favorite food or drink- actually, I like all sorts of foods and drinks, so it’ll be hard to choose and just name one. I mean, I like foods and drinks like pasta, pizza, milkshakes, ice cre- eh, there's no need to list them all now, is there?

I haven’t been able to see much information about this website, but, after hearing about it and checking it out, it really seems quite interesting to me, so I look forward to learning more about Persona Paper and being able to explore the site and just writing and even getting the chance to earn.

Here are some of the comments from this article, back when it used to be posted elsewhere:

Thanks for the welcome. I'm still exploring the site and trying to learn as much as I can about it, but, so far, it does seem very interesting.

Hi there FreyaYuki! Welcome to Persona Paper!

Of the sites, you've mentioned, I've only heard about bubble ooze. I have to check out the other two - Writer's Edge and Daily Two Cents.

Hello. Thanks for the welcome 😃. Have you checked out Writedge and Daily Two Cents yet? What do you think about the two sites?
