In Which East Tries To Protest And Fails

Also known as “In which West makes even more awesome plans that unfortunately doesn’t involve East” and "Your protest has been rejected".

Previously, West made a totally awesome and great plan (that’s said Superhero’s words, by the way) on how to beat the Evil Enemy.

East finally has a chance to speak up and comment on this plan. Needless to say, the Superhero does not agree with the so-called plan, but getting West to listen is another matter entirely.

“We have not decided nor agreed to anything at all, Muffin. I do not agree with your decisions and wish to protest,” East firmly says, frowning at West.

“Both Muffin and your protests have been rejected by the ‘super special awesome’ Superhero. Now, on to more important matters. How shall I beat this enemy? What powers should I use?” West says, apparently already forgetting East’s previous words.

“Angel, I really think we should both be the one to defeat this enemy. I mean that we should fight him together, in case you are having trouble understanding my words,” East clarifies. “After all, South and North aren’t here and you should not have to fight alone. And you might need some help. That is why I am here,” East says with a smile.

In Which West Makes A Plan To Beat The Evil Enemy

Also known as, "How to be heroic?"

Previously, in this series, we meet West, East and the Evil Enemy. The 2 Superheroes are busy talking about such topics as the whereabouts of their fellow Superheroes (North and South), nicknames and terms of endearment that East insists on calling West, all while ignoring and practically forgetting about said enemy who watches from the sidelines.

The 2 are supposed to be talking about defeating the villain, but they keep getting sidetracked, the latest distraction being about using the seasons as possible nicknames.

But, now, finally, the 2 Superheroes are back on track as they return to talking about how they plan to defeat the Evil Enemy.

Okay, okay, currently, it’s really more of West who does most of the talking and makes most of the plans, but that’s really because East can’t get a word in edgewise, not at the moment anyway.

Of course, while they’re (okay, since this is currently one-sided, that should really say ‘while West,’ but you get the point) busy making plans, said enemy is still being thoroughly ignored. He’s definitely miffed and seething as he watches East and West talk about him as if he isn’t there.

“Anyway, now on to the main issue at hand,” West says. “Beating the Evil Enemy. I think it’s totally settled already.” West says with a firm nod. “I’ll be the one to defeat him while you-” The Superhero gestures at East. “Stand back and watch me be awesome.”

“I’ll be totally cool and heroic as I fight the forces of evil and restore peace and order back to The World. Yeah, what an awesome and great plan. I should know since I came up with it.” West happily says with a grin.

1 Reason To Dislike Summer And The Seasons

So, previously, West went on and on about how the good guys never lose and the bad guys never win, totally ignoring East’s rebuttal regarding this subject. Now, East responds to West’s last words.

“Summer, please stop being so contrary and obstinate,” East says.

“I’m being what now?” West blinks, looking totally confused. “Stop using big words, East. Trying to impress me? Well, it ain’t working ‘cause you’re just totally confusing me. I’ve no idea what you just said,  but that better not be an insult,” West warns with a pout and a whine.

“And what’s with 'Summer'?” West queries. “I know my domain is called the Summer Castle and I totally like the name and all, but that doesn’t mean that I want you to call me 'Summer'. Uff, it sounds weird, so don’t, okay?”

“Very well-” East starts to say before West interrupts.

“And don’t even think ‘bout calling me 'Winter,' 'Spring,' or 'Autumn'.” The Superhero attempts to glare.

“All right.” East smirks. “Though I would have you know that I was not planning on calling you those names. I do not think they fit you at all. 'Spring,' perhaps, though I believe 'Summer' fits you more and it is not entirely just because of your Summer Castle.”

How Is Reality Different From Fantasy?

East responds to West’s proclamation and declaration, in the previous post, that the good guys always win and that they never lose. Do you think East believes in such a thing?

“Ah, that is only true in fantasy and fictional stories, my dear Summer. This, however, is reality. That means that anything can happen, including us losing,” East says.

“That is always a possibility along with us winning and a great many other scenarios,” East patiently explains, not that said Superhero really thinks they would lose to this particular enemy that they’re currently up against, but that’s not really the point now, is it? The point is letting West know the truth or, at least, East’s version of the truth.

Too bad, it’s all lost on West who may or may not have been paying attention or is just intent on ignoring such words. You be the judge of that.

“Uff, no way, uh-uh, me lose? Ain’t gonna happen. Ever. Maybe you lot-” West points at East. “My sidekicks, I mean, will lose, but definitely not me. But, don’t worry. If you’re in trouble or if you need help, I’ll always be there.” West speaks with much conviction as if there could be no possible doubt about the truth of those words.

“I’ll show up to rescue you lot ‘cause that’s just how much of a ‘super special awesome’ Superhero I am.” West strikes a heroic and awesome post (it goes without saying that that would be the Superhero’s description of said pose, but, you knew that already, didn’t you?).

Is It True That Heroes Always Win?

East and West finally get back to the issue at hand, namely, dealing with the Evil Enemy. Well, that’s supposed to be the plan, but if you thought that’s what’s gonna happen, then you clearly don’t know these 2 well enough yet.

“Well, East, like I said,” West begins. “Just stand back there and watch me or sit down or whatever. Anyway, what I mean is, just leave this all to me. I can handle this. Totally no problem at all.

“‘Cause I’m way too ‘super special awesome’ for the Evil Enemy,” West declares confidently, sounding quite arrogant though not really in a way that comes across as off-putting or annoying.

“No,” East firmly says with a shake of the head.

The tone of voice leaves no room for argument, not that West wasn’t going to try or was actually going to listen to it. “I wish to help you. I am concerned and worried that you might get hurt. And I’m sure we would not want something like that to happen.”

“But I can handle this just fine,” West protested. “That guy looks way too weak and easy to beat. Plus, I’m too awesome and superheroic to lose. Besides, didn’t you know?” West asks with a grin. “The good guys and the Superheroes always win. Always. They never lose. Never. That’s a fact, just so you know, East.”
